Here at BEACON, our social media content creators use the website Canva.com to streamline the creation of online graphics. It’s actually a really great program for those with little to no graphics training but it, unfortunately, has one flaw: the amount of fonts available are overwhelming!
As the Type Wizard on staff (think they’d mind that being my official title?), I have put together a handy guide for fonts and how they tie into Canva.com. This guide touches on the basics of font terms, use, and dos & don’ts. If you have ever been confused by terms like “serif” or cannot figure out how to make type stand out over an image, then this guide is for you.
